Talk:Project Leaflets
Project scope/inclusion
Is it envisgaed that individual subject-specific WikiProjects might produce leaflets, e.g. anything listed under a sub-page of Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory? There are an awful lot of them, so I guess not. However, maybe the overall subject areas should have intorductory info. IME such WikiProjects are a good means of collaboration and interaction with experienced editors. How about catering for such projects in other languages too, e.g. fr:Projet:Accueil? -- Trevj (talk) 15:02, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
- I'm happy to produce booklets for any project that can get organised enough to fill in my template, which I suspect won't be that many. I'd rather do this only in English for now, because the audience for Wikimania will be primarily English-speaking. They can of course be translated in future. QR codes
Have you guys thought about including w:QRpedia codes for projects with Wikipedia pages? They can be easily generated at http://qrpedia.org/ and would make the leaflets more smartphone-friendly. Projects on other wikis could create soft redirects on Wikipedia in order to get a QRpedia code. - Evad37 (talk) 01:51, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Added a first draft - what happens next?
I have just pasted in the template for WikiProject Disability, do I need to do anything else at this stage? (If possible please ping me at my en.WP UT page when replying here.) Dodger67 (talk) 12:27, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
Change request
Hi, I posted request for changes at User_talk:Samballand99#File:WikiProject_Personal_Acquaintances_leaflet_front_copy.png, because he did the file uploads. Is @Paul Rubenstein: or somebody else a better person to send that to? --user.js 13:36, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, you would need to ask user:Paul Rubenstein about change requests. They will be taking them to print soon so you will need to contact them as soon as possible. Adikhajuria (talk) 17:07, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- Adi, I don't think either Paul or Sam will check their user page and find these messages, I suggest you point Sam to User_talk:Samballand99#File:WikiProject_Personal_Acquaintances_leaflet_front_copy.png. EdSaperia (talk) 22:33, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
Commons?
And does someone know if the leaflets are allowed to be uploaded to Commons? There is no licence given on the file pages here. If so, please upload them to commons:Category:Wikimania 2014 leaflets. Thx :)--user.js 13:36, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- You would need to ask the person who uploaded the image for the leaflet before uploading them and note the proper licensing when uploading to commons. Hope that helps! Adikhajuria (talk) 17:07, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- I, too, was curious about whether or not these would be uploaded to Commons. No pressure!, but it would be nice to be able to use these images at other Wikimedia projects and for future events. --Another Believer (talk) 17:19, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- They certainly will be uploaded to commons. In fact I thought they already were uploaded there but apparently they were just uploaded to this wiki. I'll poke someone. EdSaperia (talk) 22:30, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- (It was I that commissioned the leaflets to be made) EdSaperia (talk) 22:33, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

- @EdSaperia - poking this again. Not having these available for re-use is a huge waste of effort and resources. Apparently as the original uploader you're the only person who can licence them properly. (Please ping me @ en.WP when responding.) Dodger67 (talk) 11:26, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
