Free Culture Weekend signup
Hi
We've running the registration through Eventbrite, please could you sign up through it? The link is listed on the page or just click here. We need to collect metrics for the event and this will allow us to do it in a way that can be done at scale. We're going to provide lunch and refreshments for the event and have staff working on Wikimania so it's important to collect information on the money spent.
Thanks

Art&Feminism meetup
Is it happening? I saw you expressed interest on the page. Shiningroad (talk) 21:18, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
- I imagine it will happen, but I don't know details. I think many things will fall into place the next few days as we approach the hackathon and more people start to use this wiki. I have not been organizing the meetup, but I would be interested in attending. --Another Believer (talk) 21:21, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
- Ok. Do you have any info about Wikimania that could help me as someone who's never attended one? I don't know London well either. Shiningroad (talk) 21:23, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
- Well, for starters, there are many helpful and informational links along the side bar here at this wiki, including contact and program information, transportation and local culture tips, venue details, etc. I had a blast at my first Wikimania conference (Washington, D.C. in 2012)--you'll learn the ropes in no time! When you arrive, you will check in, get a packet with program details and room locations, etc., then you can decide which presentations you want to view. There is plenty of time to mix and mingle, meeting fellow Wikimedians, and explore the city during extracurricular time. You will have a great time! --Another Believer (talk) 21:26, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah I'm in the process of looking through the info on this Wiki. I'm still worried I'll get lost though. My sense of direction is terrible and I can't really read maps. :/ Shiningroad (talk) 16:08, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

LGBT Meetup
Hi there,
Just so you know, I've taken the initiative and notified everyone on what's happened so far and to bring them into the ongoing discussion on Meta about it. Time is against us unfortunately, and I'm worried we could run out it. CT Cooper · talk 00:29, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
