Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)

I want to share my experiences as the worlds first Wikipedian in Academy.

In 2013, Wikimedia Sweden and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences launched a unique collaboration. The collaboration was so rare that we had to invent a new position – “Wikipedian in Academy” – in addition to the “Wikipedian in Residence” already prevalent at different GLAM-institutions. Before, Wikipedia projects linked to universities was based on student contributions and individual researchers, but to that day there was no project where researchers officially affiliated with a particular university write about science on Wikipedia in an organized form.

What did we do and what did we learn?
