Hi,
I am Effeietsanders, commoners' Dutch for For a while something else. In real life I'm better known as Lodewijk am a chemistry MSc student. I've been involved with Wikimedia on many levels. Currently I'm active on both Dutch and English Wikipedia as an editor (with several detours to other projects, and activity level depending highly on availability), as a volunteer with Wikimedia Nederland (on the topic 550 jaar Staten-Generaal and as a host at WikiZaterdag), in the Chapters Committee and some other international Wikimedia initiatives. In the past I also edited the Dutch Wikisource and Wikibooks, I was steward for 3.5 years and have helped out at Wikimanias, Chapter Meetings (2008 and 2010) and national conferences and events.
From 2010 through 2013 I was especially active with organizing Wiki Loves Monuments - trying to help out the different chapters and groups with their organization. In 2010 in the Netherlands, in 2011 in 18 European countries and in 2012 & 2013 in 33 and 53 countries throughout whole world. I have been active in the Wikimedia Universe since February 2005 when I started editing the Dutch Wikipedia - I have contributed a significant portion to more than 500 articles there.
At Wikimania, I hope to inspire discussions and conversations. This is why I submitted a proposal for a Discussion Room where several round table discussions would be organized (and facilitated) on community issues. But the most valuable moments at Wikimania are of course always during the breaks - connecting people and learning about new initiatives that are inspiring is always a thrill. This is also why I have prepared the Cool Projects presentation in the past years - a task I have passed on this year, but I have been invited to sit on the discussion panel after the presentation.
