More thoughts
I have no intention of applying for any grants related to this, but I posted an idea on meta:Grants:IdeaLab/Reform of citation structure for all Wikimedia projects because that is an appropriate forum for complicated ideas which require funding. I would love to see anyone else apply for funding from WMF and other research organizations to manage projects relating to citation development on Wikimedia projects.
