Mass upload training

Frobisher 6 - Mass upload workshop with Fae

Thursday 7th August 14:00 - 15:45 in Frobisher room 6 in the Barbican.

This is a training/workshop session for current and potential users of the mass upload tool. The mass upload tool is a new method of mass uploading to Wikimedia Commons that has been created by Europeana. To benefit from this session you need to know how to edit an xml file and ideally have some experience of Wikimedia Commons and its category structure.

commons:User:Fae is one of the expert users of the mass upload tool and a member of the steering group that commissioned it.

This session will cover an adhoc informal demonstration, illustration using current case studies and open discussion / Q&A workshop.

This event is part of a series re the Mass upload tool, and covers how to use the mass upload tool. For a session on when and why to use the GLAM mass upload tool sign up for Submissions/Using the Mass upload tool to copy GLAM collections to Commons.
