I'm Maarten. I'm an active volunteer of Wikimedia Nederland and I'm active on several Wikimedia projects. I'm most active on Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons and the Dutch Wikipedia. On these projects I'm an administrator. I'm one of the maintainers of Pywikibot and I command a small bot army that did several million edits and uploaded over 2 million files to Wikimedia Commons. In the past I started Wiki Loves Monuments and organized it for several years. As a bit of heritage from that project I still maintain the monuments database.

Over the last couple of years I attended several (4) Wikimania's and even more hackathons. In the past I've also organized several hackathons in the Netherlands (from smaller ones to the big European one) and I hope to be organizing a local hackathon in the fall of 2014. On the last hackathon in Zürich we didn't have a lot of Pywikibot developers so I focused on other projects. I hope to be working on Pywikibot at the Wikimania Hackathon. I would also like to work on importing monuments to Wikidata and help other countries to import their data to Wikidata.

Scholarship

At first I didn't request a scholarship from Wikimedia Nederland to leave room for others. Now it's past the deadline and not all scholarships are gone yet, so I'm applying. I have read and understood the application conditions. Multichill (talk) 21:57, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
