Opérations Libres are events joining open data organizations, wikimedians, OpenStreetMappers, etc. during two or three days to improve free knowlege and open date in a territory. I was one of the Wikimedians in the first Opération Libre in Brocas, Landes, southwestern France, in April 2013, and I will attend the second in Gérardmer, Vosges, northeastern France, in May 2014.
Plan of the presentation (as a guide) :
- Speaker's presentation : a young wikimedian, contributing on French Wikipedia since March 2010, and involved in several activities such as correcting and writing articles, or meeting other contributors (2 mn)
- Opération Libre : goals (improve free knowledge and open data in a given territory) (2 mn) ; actors (Wikimedia community and french's chapter, OpenStreetMap, other free knowledge organizations, open data promoters, local institutions, inhabitants...) and their actions (writing articles, taking photos, collecting documents, live-mapping...) (4 mn) ; past events (Brocas, April 2013 and Gérardmer, May 2014) and how they did take place (6 mn) ; results, future and french territorial organization context (4 mn) (total: 16 mn max)
