Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)

Commons has from the start been an educational project in its own right, however some wikipedians see Commons merely as a resource for their own purposes this together with the fact that Commons has developed a culture and ethos of its own has led to the claims by a vocal minority that Commons is broken and for its scrapping. Commons itself is not broken, though the relationship between the two may be strained if not broken; this presentation hopes to rebuild bridges.

  2. Sounds interesting. I've been organizing some monthly photo projects at Wikipedia (see meetup/Portland navbox) in an attempt to integrate Wikipedia and Commons. --Another Believer (talk) 17:06, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
