"To be decided" probably. I know these things can be confusing to non-native speakers of English, so I have changed it. CT Cooper · talk 20:17, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Question about included invitees

Hi there, I'm wanting to get some clarity on why only persons who significantly identify as women are invited? I'm not challenging the decision or any of the reasoning, I'm just curious. Thank you! (to be clear - I think male allies are important, but whether it's an issue of space or simply having a space only for women to share experiences, I think it will be useful to know!) Hi Rdicerb (WMF), Thank you for your question! This event is meant for those who identify themselves as women in a way that is significant to them. From past experience, at least a few of us have found that women are more likely to engage in conversation in a women-only space. This lunch(eon) aims to celebrate the achievements of women contributors and share their positive experiences that happened during the past year. We do understand that it is important to have male allies and we are looking forward to welcoming them at sessions that focus on women's participation in Wikimedia, like this one! See you around! --Netha Hussain (talk) 19:36, 14 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi Netha Hussain, thank you so much for responding. In full support of this reasoning, thank you, and see you at the conference. Rdicerb (WMF) (talk) 00:07, 16 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
