P R China

People's Republic of China has been tagged as both North and South. B25es (talk) 19:05, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch - thanks! Jwild (talk) 22:22, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Korea (Rep) and South Korea

Korea (Rep) has been placed in Global South and South Korea in Global North. South Korea is the Republic of Korea. North Korea is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Korea (Rep.) usually refers to South Korea so it belongs into the Global North. Or a clarification is needed about (Rep). B25es (talk) 17:04, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've put South Korea in the Global North given that placement in the Global North or South seems to be primarily dependent on economic and social development given the presence of Australia in the Global North. I've also put the Dominican Republic in the Global South for the same reason. CT Cooper (talk) 22:02, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
