Talk:Community Village

From Wikimania 2014 • London, United Kingdom

Is this the best name for this? Perhaps a bit too corporate for our audience? In the discussions I have been involved in we have used the phrase "Community Village". Fabian Tompsett (WMUK) (talk) 16:33, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, even "Movement village" may be more appropriate to cover all the actors of the wikimedia Movement. --Chandres (talk) 17:16, 18 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds good to me as we want to involve people from the broader Open Movement. But perhaps it could be Open Village?Fabian Tompsett (WMUK) (talk) 15:25, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Community village rather than movement village may be more understandable to people from outside open groups, this is based on just a hunch rather than any factual research. Other open groups may also have stands inside the village, the public may have access to the village. John Cummings (WMUK) (talk) 13:42, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Booking a table

Do we need to replace the table with a contact address or google doc?Fabian Tompsett (WMUK) (talk) 15:30, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wow

This is amazing! Well done everyone involved. From one table in Washington, a few in Hong Kong to this. ExtraordinaryJon Davies (WMUK) (talk) 07:38, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
